α-Amino Phosphonic Acid as the Oxidized Ore Collector: Flexible Intra-Molecular Proton Transfer Providing an Improved Flotation Efficiency

چکیده

The efficient separation of ilmenite is a difficult problem in minerals flotation. For this issue, α-aminooctyl phosphinic acid (APA) was developed as selective collector to separate ilmenite. flotation test result showed that APA more for improving recovery compared with octylphosphonic (OPA). Adsorption, ZETA and FTIR measurements proved the chemical interaction between surface stronger than OPA, while completely opposite case titanaugite. Moreover, XPS DFT calculations indicated coordinated through P-O-Fe P-O-Ti bonding. amine group α-site phosphonyl facilitated be stable zwitterion solution, which greatly enhanced nucleophilicity phosphonic group. On other hand, appropriate coordination energy another reason superior collecting selectivity OPA.

Flotation Behaviors of Perovskite, Titanaugite, and Magnesium Aluminate Spinel Using Octyl Hydroxamic Acid as the Collector

The flotation behaviors of perovskite, titanaugite, and magnesium aluminate spinel (MA-spinel), using octyl hydroxamic acid (OHA) as the collector, were investigated using microflotation experiments, zeta-potential measurements, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) analyses, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses, and flotation experiments on artificially mixed minerals. The microflotati...

Graphene phosphonic acid as an efficient flame retardant.

We report the preparation of graphene phosphonic acid (GPA) via a simple and versatile method and its use as an efficient flame retardant. In order to covalently attach phosphorus to the edges of graphene nanoplatelets, graphite was ball-milled with red phosphorus. The cleavage of graphitic C-C bonds during mechanochemical ball-milling generates reactive carbon species, which react with phospho...

An improved general amino acid replacement matrix.

Amino acid replacement matrices are an essential basis of protein phylogenetics. They are used to compute substitution probabilities along phylogeny branches and thus the likelihood of the data. They are also essential in protein alignment. A number of replacement matrices and methods to estimate these matrices from protein alignments have been proposed since the seminal work of Dayhoff et al. ...

Biophysical aspects of intra-protein proton transfer.

The passage of proton trough proteins is common to all membranal energy conserving enzymes. While the routes differ among the various proteins, the mechanism of proton propagation is based on the same chemical-physical principles. The proton progresses through a sequence of dissociation association steps where the protein and water molecules function as a solvent that lowers the energy penalty ...

Structural tuning intra- versus inter-molecular proton transfer reaction in the excited state.

A series of 2-pyridyl-pyrazole derivatives 1-4 possessing five-membered ring hydrogen bonding configuration are synthesized, the structural flexibility of which is strategically tuned to be in the order of 1 > 2 > 3 > 4. This system then serves as an ideal chemical model to investigate the correlation between excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) reaction and molecular skeleton m...
